New Video from Juhi

Here is the video- re-posted for all…

I found it interesting that she would change the sign but not give any money. Anybody have any idea why?

It was also a woman that took the time to ‘help’. Is is because women care more?
Thoughts?

wow that was really cool. how did you find that Juhi? She reworded the sign so that people would feels sympathy towards him on a personal level. She made his sign unique and not like a typical begger sign. i loved it.

Wow… That was really interesting. I think she only changed the signs because she knew that would help more than just money. Just a thought. really nice video though

Tim has a good point, changing the sign was a nice thought that helped more than her spare change would’ve.
“It’s a beautiful day, I can’t see it.”– that was really touching, I would’ve given money if I walked by it.

I agree with Tim about changing the sign helping more than just giving him money. If she gave him money and just left him alone, then all the other people would have just ignored his previous sign and he would only be left with money from one person.

Also, many people sometimes just choose to ignore homeless people because they don’t know how to help them or are just scared that if they do give them money then they will use it for different things that wont be beneficial to them like drugs or alcohol. It seems that that doubt we have keeps us from actually trying to help people. Only when we actually know what’s the best method for helping homeless people can we really help them.

yeah this was interesting. I agree that she changed it because she knew how much it would help and it proves the point at the end of the video “change your words, change your world”.
I don’t think women necessarily care more, I think it’s more about the outlook on life.

i guess woman have that sort of intuition I would’ve never thought that would bring more sympathy from people.

  • Aburough Abegesah

maybe because it doesn’t sound as pitiful as the previous sign?

this actually has nothing to do with Juhi’s video but I read this and it reminded me of the Stuff is not salvation piece we wrote and I really like how robert montgomery said the same thing but more poetically and personal

I think more people gave him money because, the sign was more clever and, it probably made people think twice about how lucky they are and, how they should help people less fortunate.

I don’t think this is very likely. In my opinion, people would just see the same exact thing. The people who created this film assume people actually read signs and care if they say something in a different, clever way. They are suggesting that people actually stop thinking of themselves for a minute and help beggars. And the beggars creativity has something to do with it. Ha.

If I were her I would change the sign to “I’m not going to buy drugs and alcohol, i’m hungry…..and blind, if that helps.”

She probably did not give money because she wanted to help but she also thought he was going to buy drugs and alcohol. Catch 22?

And I think they used a woman because men are lazy and simple. They just want to donate and be done, which is perfectly. I am not saying all men are, just most of the men in this country.

That woman was really harsh. First, she walks past as if she’s going to ignore him. Then she turns around, grabs the sign, scribbles something on it and walks away. The beggar was very trusting considering that she didn’t tell him what she wrote. For all he knew, she could have written something rude and offensive.

I think she didn’t give money because she probably didn’t have much on her. I guess she realized changing his sign would help more.

I don’t think one gender is more likely to help than another. I think it was pure chance that it was a woman.
